Over three decades of security experience makes us the partner of choice. Securex Limited was incorporated in 1988 as a private security company and was the first in the country to venture into the security sector. The company set the trends and guidelines and paved the way for the Bangladesh Security Industry to grow. Currently nearly half a million Bangladeshis rely on this industry as a form of employment and over 500 Security companies now exist.
Securex launched the private manned guarding service and by 1991 introduced first Cash in-Transit service aiming to take on the responsibility of cash movement from financial institutions in armored vehicles designed to suit the environment and infrastructure of the country. Singlehandedly, the Company drew the operating procedures of the service, the framework for effective insurance provisions, the guidelines formulated and endorsed by the Governmental agencies to give it shape and credibility, the service now is provided by over twelve companies in the country.
In 1992 Securex ventured into the retailing and installation of intelligent security equipment like Intruder alarm system, CCTV and recording, Access control systems, physical security equipment like safes, vaults, grilles, data storage cabinets and lockers. This new revenue stream has become an integral part of the company where the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) department installs, maintains and leases equipment all across the country with thousands of successful installation projects completed.

Taher Quddus started his career in the Pakistan Air Force as a Navigator in the PAF B-57 Bomber squadron . He saw action in the 1965 Indo-Pak war and served in various Bases after the war in the Intelligence wing. He was deputed to the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi in 1969 as second secretary and later moving to Riyadh as Advisor to the Royal Saudi Air Force. He was incarcerated as a prisoner of war in Pakistan during the liberation war and returned to the country in 1974 after officer repatriation joining the Bangladesh Air Force as Director Air Intelligence . He resigned from the service and was deputed as Chairman , Bangladesh Parjaton Corporation before taking retirement from Government service and starting Securex in 1988. Together with partner Mr Rafiul Karim , they incorporated Bangladesh’s first commercial private security service and Group Captain Taher Quddus is fondly regarded as the “Father of the security services” in the country and he founded the Bangladesh Private Security Service Provider Association(BPSSPA) and served as the President till 2013 upon his untimely passing . He passed away 4th September, 2013
Rafiul Karim started his career in the Civil Service of Pakistan (CSP) working through a multitude of departments in the civil administration , rising to the posts of District Commissioner in various regions of the country. He later took on assignment for the Bangladesh Foreign missions in Brussels & Nairobi , specializing in Jute trade and development in the Trade Wing. Upon his return he rose to the rank of Joint Secretary before taking an early retirement to pursue his business interests. He successfully expanded his business in the textile sector and cosmetics before partnering with Group Captain Taher Quddus on the new venture in 1988 creating Securex. His foresight and vision was inspirational and rewarding and together their partnership helped build the company to its existing position.
